The life of a parish is, undoubtedly, Jesus Christ. Freely He gave us the most precious gift we will ever recieve on this earth- The Eucharist. In attending mass physically and spiritually, we partake in the greatest sacrifice this world has ever known. Archbishop Fulton Sheen exemplified this the best when he stated that "the greatest love story of all time is contained in a tiny white host." How blessed all of us are to have the opportunity to receive our Lord every single day in daily mass.
The Lord continues to bless us when he calls us each in our own way to serve his church. Some are called are be liturgical servors; lectors, altar servers, ushers. Some of us are called to lead bible studies and discipleship groups. Then there are others who are called to help their parish with its techinicalities, within parish councils. These councils work in the benefit of the chuch and all of its parishioners and help make each parish unique, steadfast, and engaging.
